Pioneers of the sound of ‘Ethiopian crunch’ – at once soul and heavy metal, jazz and punk, and indisputably Ethiopian - this Addis Ababa and Lyon-based quartet play complex rhythms, with screaming saxophone and distorted bass, uniting under the honeyed voice of Ethiopian singer Asnaké Gebreyes.
